in both the film and the novella, gregor’s death is presented as a relief to gregor.

evidence from the book-

Relief is shown in the book when gregor dies and Mr Samsa says ” now we can give thanks to god”

this quote shows that gregors father is almost thanking god for the death of his son however i don’t feel he is conscious that in the body of this beetle is his actual son, the one that once was the provider of the household and took care of them.

evidence from the film-

the scene in the film where gregor dies is quite an oxymoronic scene. when the family realizes that gregors dead a sad song begins to play in the background,

gcse’s were round the corner and its at this point in time you could see who was preparing and who wasn’t.
some people say that people react to stress differently, some people fess up and confront the thing that’s causing the stress and others would neglect it.make the issue discreet.
but that’s how i spent my l life, putting on fake smiles pretending everything was ok and holding in all thoughts. it became a way of life, a habit a easy way out.it was easy to say ‘im fine’ or ‘im ok’ who actually tells people there issues,who openly says i haven’t been feeling like my self lately all my ‘friends’ are drifting away from me.i feel lonely.
