Events:
Titus andronicus(the new emperor) announces he wants Tamoras son to use as a sacrifice to the gods. He let’s her know that he has plans to cut of all his limbs and then burn his corpse. Tamora pleaded and begged and used his own sons deaths as a guilt trap but it never worked.after burning her son,Lucius speaks about the air smelling like perfume/incense. After the sacrifice Titus burys another one of his sons that die in battle.

explanation:
i see this quote as an rhetorical question from Shakespeare to Titus, he is almost asking him how many sons is he planning to lose and due to his old age he will not be able to make anymore.
